Blockbuster Films Set In The Roaring 20s

I’ve just left finished The Great Gatsby, I step outside and realize, to my horror, that the real world is actually quite dull and bland. There’s none of the glitz and glam of the 20s to be seen, the world needs to get dressed up! I wrap myself up in a silk robe when I get home only to find out that I don’t own a silk robe, but instead a Snuggie. This sad realization has led me to escape back into the 20s and put on some of my favorite films from the time.

Bright Young Things

In 1930s London, Evelyn Waugh portrays a British upper-class flaky socialite that’s covered in diamonds and fur. Oblivious to the Depression Era and still living large, Waugh is also in the show Newsroom and plays Emily Mortimer who’s always stressed and in need of a pedicure.
